Equality Nevada seeks to improve the lives of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and genderqueer individuals (LGBTIQ) and their families by advocating for equal rights and benefits in the workplace, ensuring individuals are treated equally under the law and increasing public support through innovative advocacy, education and outreach programs.

Equality Nevada works to secure equal rights for individuals in the state of Nevada by lobbying elected officials, mobilizing grassroots supporters, providing educational programs, investing strategically to elect fair-minded officials and partnering with other organizations.

Our work addresses issues that are important to many Nevadans, including -

* Anti-Discrimination and Equal Rights
* Anti-Violence and Hate Crime Laws
* Safe Schools and Anti-Bullying
* Health Care
* Marriage Equality and Domestic Partnerships
* Federal Legislation
* State Legislation and Local Policies
* Candidates and Elections
* Partnerships with Associations, Groups and other Organizations

We look forward to working with people and organizations who are passionate about making Nevada a state where everyone is treated equally, with respect and dignity, regardless of their age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or their gender expression.

Equality Nevada is a 501(c)(4) non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Nevada.

Get Out and Help the Homeless

5

The Get Out and Help the Homeless event was great! We all met up after at a Diner and had a great time. My friend Chris cried because he had never seen anything like it before.

We are going to do it every month now. It was very humbling.
