We have two Great Basin Federal Credit Union ::/ The Great Basin FCU Difference
Ownership.
Great Basin Federal Credit Union is an economic democracy. Each Great Basin FCU member has equal ownership and one vote -- regardless of how much money a member has on deposit. Here, every customer is both a member and an owner.
Ultimate Service.
At Great Basin Federal Credit Union, we are committed to providing the Ultimate Experience in service each and every time. We are committed to exceeding your expectations and are always pleased to help you in any way we can. We value your business and your loyalty.
Not-for-profit.
Great Basin Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative. We exist to serve our members, not to make a profit. Unlike most other financial institutions, we do not issue stock or pay dividends to outside stockholders. Instead, earnings are returned to our members in the form of lower loan rates, higher interest on deposits, and lower fees.
Volunteer Board.
Great Basin Federal Credit Union is governed by a board of directors, elected by and from our credit union's membership. Board members serve voluntarily without compensation in any form.
Financial Education for Members.
Great Basin Federal Credit Union assists members to become better- educated consumers of financial services. In addition, we play an active role in educating the Washoe County's younger community on financial matters.
Social Purpose.
People Helping People: Like all credit unions Great Basin Federal Credit Union exists for service, not profit. This same people-first philosophy also inspires us to also get involved in community charitable activities and worthwhile causes - just ask us.
